HTTP — Hypertext Transfer Protocol

HTTP is the protocol of the World Wide Web. A client sends requests (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE); the server responds with status codes like 200, 404 or 500. HTTPS encrypts HTTP over TLS. HTTP/2 and HTTP/3 improve speed and efficiency.
